The thing is, stress is dangerous. It’s bad for every inch of your body, from your heart to your head and all the way down to your feet.
But there are hundreds of little things you can do to eliminate stress, or at least reduce it quite a bit.
I am a big supporter of the idea that any problem in our life may come from our stressful life, from now knowing what is right and what is wrong for us, what is good and what is bad for us. It comes from not listening to our bodies, because we forgot that language, long, long ago!
I always say- in order to achieve health and cure your Graves’ Disease, you HAVE to change your Life Style. You must try “different” instead of “harder”. That’s the key.
So now come the questions : “How do I change my life style?” How do I remove stress? “How do I balance life and work, personal life and career? “How do I cure myself?”
All of these questions are good to ask..Especially if you in the middle of a tornado called Graves’ Disease and hyperthyroidism!
It was the most difficult part of my healing journey as well. Habits and attitudes needed to be changed. But: “Easy said than done! How do I do that?”
Today I understand that removing stress from our lives and thus curing our disease is about Balance. And this may include, but it’s not limited to:
– ending overwhelm;
– better organization;
– delegating and outsourcing;
– better time management;
– cleaning the clutter in your life, home and relationships;
– health and habits management;
– and even balancing male and female energy,
– but most of all- about Self Love.
Just a few changes can make a huge difference, I know that.

– change your life style
– change what you eat and what you drink
– change your relationships
– change your exercise/ workout program
– change what do you do every day
– change your job, if you have to
– change the way you view yourself and the others

This is just a short chemistry explanation about stress:
Staying calm under pressure produces crucial amounts of a key neurochemical, nitric oxide, throughout the body. Nictric oxide is unusually small, but powerful molecule that switches on the glowing light in fireflies.
Inside humans, it neutralizes the negative effects of stress hormones such as norepinephrine that cause rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, tension, anger and anxiety. Nitric oxide signals the brain to release calming neurochemicals such as dopamine and endorphins.
Often this enables you to reach a heightened level of action, mood, creativity or performance. To master this kind of attention under pressure instead of just relying on expending energy to move you forward, you must engage with your challenges by keeping physical tension levels low, freeing yourself to try different instead of harder.
Life today can be overwhelming – we all know that! Stress and anxiety can seem to take over our lives and render us helpless. It’s easy to get caught up in all the drama and let those stressors dictate how we live.

This illness has debilitated me for a long time leaving me ill-equipped to deal with even the smallest problem.
